As 2024 comes to an end, Pin Drop Travel Trailers would like to highlight some of the great accomplishments of the past year.
Awards and Recognitions:
PinDrop® was honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to be named one of the top 100 small businesses in the nation. Over 14,000 applications from businesses across the country were reviewed, and PinDrop® rose to the top of the Co-100 list, specifically recognized as a Customer Champion. Founders Ruth Ellen and Tim travelled to Washington D.C. to accept the award and celebrate with their cohort of America's Top 100 Businesses.
Additionally in the same month, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry named Pin Drop Travel Trailers as one of the three Hottest Things Made in AZ. This is a program where people vote daily for their favorite Arizona-made product and Pin Drop was proud to compete against companies with global distribution.
Partnerships and Collaborations:
Pin Drop Travel Trailers teamed up with TreadLightly! and TopoJoes bike shop in Globe, AZ to raffle off a prize package to benefit trail maintenance and signage in the Pinal Mountains in the Tonto National Forest.
SunFlare XPLOR has become the exclusive supplier of solar panels for Pin Drop Travel Trailers. The VP of sales paid a visit to the Factory in the spring to tour the factory and view production. This partnership forged immediately thereafter and has added value to the brand and the product.
Elevated Camping Experience based in Flagstaff, AZ added a PinDrop to their rental fleet. This gives more options to those exploring the Grand Canyon State with rental options now in both central and northern Arizona, providing opportunties for people to sample the product before making a purchase.
Expos and Public Events Highlighting a Micro Camper:
The Pin Drop Team was able to showcase Pin Drop micro camper models across the West in 2024, starting the year off with a show in Pomona, CA and capping the year at the LA Auto Show for a two week exhibition over the Thanksgiving holiday. Other notable events included the Overland Expo West in partnership with SunFlare XPLOR, the Sonoma, CA Overland and Powersports Expo and in our home state at the Outdoor Expo sponsored by AZ Game and Fish. In addition to large events the Pin Drop Team also hosted many Pop-up Movie Nights Powered by PinDrop for the local community, as well as hosted our six year anniversary at the Factory with live music, libations and a couple piñatas to smash. All future events can be found here, come see Pin Drop in 2025!
New Design Features:
2024 saw many changes to the Pin Drop design. Founder Tim was hard at work incorporating new design elements and components to create an even better, more efficient, user-friendlier, and premium design. In partnership with SunFlare XPLOR, Pin Drop has incorporated the Swedish company's flexible CIGS panels to power each unit. These highly efficient panels pack a punch, and Pin Drop pairs them with all Victron electrical components and a high storage capacity Dakota Lihium battery bank. The end result is a much more efficient and reliable electrical system to power sustained outdoor adventure indefinitely.
In addition, Founder Tim completely redesigned the ventilation system, removing the standard rooftop mounted RV fan found on most travel trailer manufacturers and replaced it with a revolutionary ducted ventilation system. This new designs removes any possibility of leaks from the rooftop-mounted fan, and utiliizes a high-efficiency two directional and variable speed fan to move air in and out of the cabin. Quiet, efficient and with no loss of R-Value from PinDrop's signature super-insulated design, this Eco-Cool Ventilation System takes comfort to the next level.
Smaller but exceptional details have been incorporated into the Pin Drop design as well, including new lighting features that enhance the nostalgic feel of the tearardrop design and bring out the beauty of the natural birch, maple and cherry wood in the cabin.
Customer Highlights:
The PinDrop ® Customer of the Year award goes to Craig and Terra who visited headquarters to pick up their new PinDrop® in early summer. The next day, they left the Cactus Alley, a renovated historic home for PinDrop® customers, and embarked on a 10,500 mile trek up the Pacific Coast and all the way out to the other coast, landing in Newfoundland, Canada... and then back again without any issues on the road. They reported complete comfort, ease of use, functionality for working remotely, and an easy tow with their Subaru wagon. An exceptional PinDrop® story. Way to go!
The team provided Pin Drop Trailers to geologists and avid hikers for adventures, research, and marketing . Over the year, Team PinDrop also saw some of the first PinDrops from the first build batch come back in for regular service and tune-ups, looking better than new with limited road wear and adventure scars.
